Fiji (Hardwood) Shutters
Our first level of hardwood shutters has been known by a couple of names in the past depending on the material used.
Larchwood and Pearlwood have given way to Fiji – made from Paulownia. This is an extremely fast growing tree, growing to full height in around seven years. It also grows from trunk where it is cut, eliminating the need for constant re-planting. This makes it a very environmentally friendly choice for the construction of plantation and solid panel shutters.
Although extremely light the Fiji shutters are resistant to warping and the grain structure makes them ideal for stained finishes.
A vast array of painted finishes is also available as standard, some of which are matched to the Dulux and Farrow & Ball colours.
If these are not enough then the colour match and colour code options are available on the Fiji range – at a small added cost.
This is the first level of material where solid panel shutters are available. The Solid Raised design is perfect for those older Victorian style sash windows.
This is also the first material in which you can choose arched or circular shutters.
Another benefit is multi-fold panels. Up to four panels can be hinged on each side.
