Shutter Styles

Plantation shutters come in several different styles. The styles available help you achieve the perfect look for your home whether it’s a modern penthouse or a traditional Victorian villa. Each style of shutter is custom made for the perfect fit but also for the ideal look and feel.

A consultation with our experts will show you the benefits of each of the styles, from privacy to light control to how the shutter is installed, each shutter designed to fit perfectly in your home.

Cafe Style / Half Height

A very popular choice for people who don’t want to darken the whole room or don’t have the need for much light control, Cafe style shutters or commonly known as Half-height shutters, are where the shutters only fit onto the lower section of the window. This allows for privacy on the bottom half of the window leaving the top half open and clear. Cafe Style Shutters work well together with curtains or Roman-style blinds fitted above the shutters for a nice furnished look. Usually a great choice for living rooms, studies and dining rooms.

Full Height

Full height shutters are simply shutters that cover the full height of the window. This style offers maximum privacy and light combined. A good option for Full height shutters is to opt for a mid-rail giving, even more, privacy and light control.

Tier On Tier

Tier On Tier shutters are basically two sets of shutters one on top of the other. This allows both the top set of shutters and the bottom set to be operated independently of each other. This style offers the most flexibility but requires space on either side of the window to store the shutters when not in use.

A very popular choice for bedrooms or studies where at times you may need full privacy.

Solid Panels

Solid panel shutters also known as Victorian solid shutters, many people use our solid shutters as a direct replacement for their old Victorian boxed shutters, which have usually seized up or simply been removed over time. They are available in two flavours, raised panel shutters and moulded panel shutters.

”I cannot recommend shutter master more, I got numerous quotes from different companies but Shutter Master stood out by far, Chris and Ryan were very polite and went the extra mile to make sure he could get the best deal for us which he did and kept in contact. The shutters arrived earlier than expected.”

”The work was carried out to an excellent standard and both the person providing the quote and the two contractors carrying out the work were polite, professional and punctual. I could not fault them and will use them again to fit shutters to my mums living room later this year..”

”I love my new shutters. They are of excellent quality and installed well. Chris was responsive to all emails during the sale and Ryan came to install with a colleague. They tidied up behind themselves after the installation and showed me every shutter to ensure I was satisfied before they left. I would thoroughly recommend them to friends and family.”
