Independently opening panels above the sink
For the larger window above the sink, we used a T-post system. These fixed vertical supports allow each shutter panel to open independently, giving the customer more flexibility when accessing the window.
Planning how panels open is particularly important in a kitchen, where taps, worktops and nearby cabinets can affect everyday use.
Separate control of light and privacy
We incorporated a louvre split halfway up the panels. This allows the lower louvres to be adjusted separately from the upper louvres—for example, closing the lower section for privacy while leaving the upper section open to admit daylight.
The panels remain full height. Unlike tier-on-tier shutters, it is the louvre control that is divided, rather than the panels themselves.
A coordinated kitchen finish
Their white finish complements the light worktops and contrasts with the darker cabinetry, creating a consistent appearance across both windows.
