Everyday privacy with room for daylight.

Designed for your room

We will check clearance around taps, worktops and window handles. Waterproof Composite is an option where moisture resistance matters. Café shutters cover the lower opening while leaving daylight above.

Planning shutters for your kitchen

Plan around worktops, taps and cooking areas. A shutter panel needs clearance to open, and the window handle should remain accessible. We check the distance from sinks and splash areas before recommending a material; Composite is our usual starting point where moisture exposure is a concern.

Think about the view from the window while you prepare food or sit at the table. Louvre size and any mid-rail position affect how you adjust daylight and privacy. We bring samples to compare with your cabinets and worktops and discuss gentle cleaning for the chosen material.

Your questions, answered

Which shutters are best for kitchens and bathrooms?

Composite shutters are our usual starting point for moisture-prone rooms because of their water-resistant construction. We assess the fitting position, ventilation and exposure to moisture at your consultation. A kitchen window away from splash areas may also suit a wood range; the right choice depends on the room rather than its name alone.

Which louvre size is best?

There is no single best size. We compare the available sizes, commonly 64mm, 76mm and 89mm depending on the range, against your window proportions, view and privacy preferences. Larger louvres mean fewer slats across the height of a panel. We also check clearance for the louvres to tilt around handles and the window itself.
