Bathroom shutters need to suit the fitting position as well as the room. We check how close the window is to a bath, shower or basin, the ventilation and access to handles. Composite is our usual starting point for moisture-prone windows, with the final recommendation based on the actual exposure.
Café-style shutters leave the upper window uncovered, so they may not provide enough privacy where the whole opening is overlooked. Full-height shutters allow you to adjust the louvres across the window. We discuss sightlines with you rather than relying on the style name to decide.

Which shutters are best for kitchens and bathrooms?
Composite shutters are our usual starting point for moisture-prone rooms because of their water-resistant construction. We assess the fitting position, ventilation and exposure to moisture at your consultation. A kitchen window away from splash areas may also suit a wood range; the right choice depends on the room rather than its name alone.
How long are the warranties?
Hardwood and Premium Hardwood shutters have a five-year warranty. Hardwood ABS and Composite shutters have a ten-year warranty. Blackout blinds have a separate two-year warranty. Covered repairs include labour and travel, subject to the warranty terms. Cover applies to the original customer and cannot be transferred to a new owner. Aluminium shutters have a ten-year warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship, with repair or replacement of affected shutters at no cost for covered defects.
