Consider where you sit and where daylight falls on the television or computer screen. Adjustable louvres let you change the balance of light and privacy through the day. We discuss the useful control height and whether a mid-rail, split louvres or separate tier-on-tier panels suit the window.
For bay windows, each angle and handle position affects the design. We measure the actual bay and check panel movement around sofas and nearby furniture. Café-style panels keep the upper glass uncovered; full-height panels give control across the whole opening.

Your questions, answered
Will shutters make my room dark during the day?
You control the light by tilting the louvres or opening the panels. Frames and louvres occupy part of the opening, so some daylight is reduced even with the louvres open. Café-style shutters leave the upper window uncovered; tier-on-tier shutters allow the upper panels to open separately. We help you balance daylight and privacy.
Will shutters reduce noise from a nearby road?
A closed shutter may change how sound feels in the room, but we do not offer standard shutters as an acoustic treatment or promise a measurable reduction in traffic noise. Noise can pass through glazing, gaps and other parts of the building. If road noise is your main concern, we recommend assessing the windows and acoustic options separately.
