A complete finish for your windows
Full-height shutters cover the whole opening. Louvre sections can be arranged to give useful control over daylight and privacy, while the panels open for access to the window.
Designed around everyday use
We assess window handles, recess depth and available opening space before recommending panel numbers and frame details. Full-height describes the layout; you can choose from different materials to suit your room.

The design at a glance
Full height
Continuous panels cover the complete opening.
Full height with mid-rail
A visible structural rail divides the upper and lower louvre sections.
Full height with split louvres
Upper and lower louvres adjust separately within a continuous panel, without a mid-rail. The dotted line marks the control split, not a physical rail.
Illustrative drawings only. Panel numbers, proportions and opening arrangements are designed around your windows. Split-louvre and mid-rail options are subject to the chosen specification.

Full-height panels provide a continuous covering across the window. A mid-rail can divide the louvres into independently adjustable sections, allowing light above while maintaining privacy below.
Panel width and the position of any mid-rail should work with the window’s existing lines. We check handles and opening clearance so the shutters remain practical when you need to open or clean the window.
Your questions, answered
Mid rail, split louvres or tier on tier?
A mid rail divides a full-height panel with a visible structural rail. Split louvres allow sections to tilt separately within one continuous panel. Tier-on-tier shutters have separate upper and lower panels that open independently. We compare the options against your window proportions and privacy needs.
Can the panels open fully?
The panels open for window access, but the available opening angle depends on nearby walls, furniture and handles. We check clearance during the survey and discuss where the panels will sit when open.
Choose how the louvres work
A continuous louvre section gives a simple full-height layout. A mid-rail creates a visible horizontal division; split louvres provide separate upper and lower tilt control without that rail. In each case the full-height panel opens as one piece. If you want the upper panels to open while the lower panels stay closed, compare tier-on-tier shutters instead.

More questions about your shutters
Will shutters make my room dark during the day?
You control the light by tilting the louvres or opening the panels. Frames and louvres occupy part of the opening, so some daylight is reduced even with the louvres open. Café-style shutters leave the upper window uncovered; tier-on-tier shutters allow the upper panels to open separately. We help you balance daylight and privacy.
Which louvre size is best?
There is no single best size. We compare the available sizes, commonly 64mm, 76mm and 89mm depending on the range, against your window proportions, view and privacy preferences. Larger louvres mean fewer slats across the height of a panel. We also check clearance for the louvres to tilt around handles and the window itself.
